Vide Knit Pants – PDF Sewing Pattern

Pattern features

• Elastic waistband (pull-on)
• Front pockets
• Back darts
• Subtly flared at the hem
• Suitable for stable knits with some stretch
• Optional stitched pintucks
• Mid-rise waist (slightly below natural waist, above belly button) 
• Fitted around the waist and hip, with ease in the leg area.

Sewing level: Beginner to intermediate

Some prior experience sewing with knits is recommended. The instructions include many beginner-friendly tips, making this a great starter pattern for those who are new to sewing pants.

Machines

A serger is helpful, but the Vide Pants can also be sewn on a regular sewing machine.

Fabric recommendations

Medium to heavy knit fabrics are ideal for sewing the Vide Pants. Choose a knit with at least 20% stretch crosswise and moderate to minimal stretch lengthwise.
